WildBot — Terms of Service

These terms govern use of WildBot ("the Bot"), a Discord application providing Elder Scrolls Online statistics, Twitch stream announcements, giveaways, and moderation tooling. By adding the Bot to a Discord server, or by interacting with its features, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Bot.

1. Eligibility

You must comply with the Discord Terms of Service, which requires you to be at least 13 years old, or older where local law sets a higher minimum age. You must have the necessary permissions in a server before adding the Bot to it.

2. What the Bot does

• Publishes Elder Scrolls Online trial rankings and group compositions retrieved from the ESO Logs public API
• Announces when approved Twitch streamers go live, and removes those announcements when they end
• Runs giveaways with button-based entry and randomised winner selection
• Applies automated moderation, including join screening and anti-raid enforcement, in servers where those features are enabled

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Bot or its infrastructure
• Use the Bot to harass others, distribute malware, or post unlawful content
• Abuse the giveaway system, including entering through multiple or automated accounts, or submitting false entry information
• Attempt to circumvent join screening, anti-spam detection, or any other automated protection
• Use the Bot in violation of Discord's terms or policies

4. Automated moderation

In servers where these features are enabled, the Bot takes moderation action automatically and without prior warning. Specifically, it may:

• Kick accounts created within the last three months when they join, unless a moderator has added an exemption
• Ban accounts that post in a designated trap channel
• Ban accounts that post identical text across four or more channels within sixty seconds, and delete the offending messages

These measures exist to protect servers from coordinated spam and scam raids. Automated systems can produce false positives. If you believe an action was taken against you in error, contact the server's moderators or the Bot operator using the details in section 10; genuine mistakes will be reversed. Server administrators are responsible for deciding whether to enable these features in their server and for the moderation outcomes within it.

5. Giveaways

• Entry is free. No purchase is necessary and no payment is ever requested.
• Winners are selected at random. A proof-of-fairness document recording the entry list and the draw is published with the results.
• Prizes are provided by the server operating the giveaway, not by the Bot or its developer. Responsibility for delivering a prize rests with that server.
• Entries containing false information, or entries from users found to be abusing the system, may be disqualified and a replacement winner drawn.
• Additional eligibility conditions may be set by the server running a giveaway and will be stated in the giveaway post.

6. Availability

The Bot is provided free of charge and on a best-effort basis. There is no guarantee of uptime, availability, or continued operation. Features may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice, and the Bot may be removed from any server at the operator's discretion.

7. No warranty

The Bot is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. Statistics sourced from third-party services are reproduced as supplied and are not guaranteed to be accurate or current.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Bot's developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, access, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to use of or inability to use the Bot — including moderation actions taken in error, giveaway outcomes, undelivered prizes, or service interruption. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Data

Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Changes and contact

These terms may be updated from time to time; the "last updated" date above will change when they are. Continued use of the Bot after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
